Graham is the Group Managing Director of Brit European.
Married to Hayley with three children, Ella, James and Sienna, Graham was Born and educated in Surrey. Having moved to Manchester to complete a degree in Economics and History he joined PZ Cussons as a Management Trainee.
Through a range of marketing, sales and international development roles he gained experience across a range of FMCG product sectors including soaps, detergents, OTC pharmaceuticals and brands such as Imperial Leather and Carex. He then joined Jordans Cereals to assist its growth and transition from a small family business to an international brand and after a short spell with Mitsubishi (Princes Foods) he joined IDG Holdings with his first introduction to the Logistics Sector as Managing Director for Uniloads/Vmove Solutions.
Graham’s association with Brit European began in May 2008 with a brief to assist the main shareholder in developing and growing the group’s activities. Unfortunately the recession forced an immediate focus on efficiency and cost savings and a rapid re‐shaping of the business but this has paid off with almost continuous growth since early 2010.
Graham’s focus has always been on customer service and the use of systems and processes to improve performance, communication and efficiency. Brit European has innovated in its specialised sectors of operation in these areas. He has nurtured and encouraged the creativity and expertise in the Brit European team by always striving to look for unique solutions to their customer’s challenges. This can be seen in the contract structures they deploy or the specialised equipment they utilise, always considering options from a different perspective.
The Environmental Efficiency Programme is now central to Brit European’s development strategy for the future. By utilising equipment design, aerodynamics, telematics, staff training and alternative fuels to drive down the impact on the environment and drive up their operational efficiency. Graham is passionate about work, about doing it right, about doing it better and in developing the right relationships with employees and customers. It takes hard work and professionalism with no short cuts.
To relax Graham obviously loves to spend time with his family but admits that the world stops for F1 and Tottenham Hotspur!
